That’s exactly what it is. A cut turtle neck. I actually dyed a white turtle neck sweater then made a cut in the front collar. Then, sewed the trim onto it.
I just got a new camera so I’d thought I’d take some photos of my Korra cosplay before I put it away until Halloween.

like right outside of the convention these mega christians came and started protesting against gays and how they’re trying to be something they’re not and how we’re all sinning because we’re all dressing up as things we’re not and whatever
and then gamzee got in this tiny truck and slowly rode in front of the protesters and it was glorious and was probably the best thing that happened all day
Oh my gosh. Yes. And then in a corner there were a bunch of people with a boom box, and then the eleventh Doctor started dancing and it was brilliant.

Oh, why, thank you. *blushes* My Korra cosplay started out as a closet cosplay of sorts so I cut up some old Taekwondo protective gear that I had outgrown and then I painted it. I think you’re best off finding a material that has some elastic in it.
I saw a couple of people suggest the idea of an AU in which Korra meets the Wolfbats first instead of the Fire Ferrets. And I… accidentally drew it I guess sldfkjsdf
(No, I don’t have anything against the ferret bros and I’m not trying to say the show would be better this way, it’s just for fun!)
